The Rivian R1T is one of the most highly-anticipated electric pickups and the company has shown the model’s potential by using it power nearly 20,000 Christmas lights.

With a single power port in the truck’s bed, the R1T turned the Timber Pointe Outdoor Center into a winter wonderland that would make Clark Griswold jealous.

While there’s no word on how long the lights could have stayed on, the RT1 features a 135 kWh battery pack that is slated to provide a range in excess of 300 miles (483 km). Customers can also upgrade to Max battery pack which has a capacity of 180 kWh and increases the range to more than 400 miles (644 km).

Besides the impressive ranges, the R1T has a four motor all-wheel drive system that will enable the truck to produce up to 754 hp (562 kW / 764 PS) and 826 lb-ft (1,120 Nm) of torque. This should to enable the model to run from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in three seconds, before hitting a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h).

Of course, that’s just part of the story as the R1T has a roomy frunk and an innovate “Gear Tunnel” which sits below the cab and extends across the width of the vehicle. The tunnel provides 12.4 cubic feet (350 liters) of space and is designed to haul long items such as golf bags and snowboards.

The R1T will arrive in June 2021 as a Launch Edition and be followed by more mainstream variants in January of 2022. Pricing starts at $67,500 and the company is currently accepting reservations for $1,000.

Just in time for the holiday season, Infiniti has decided to spread their holiday cheer by releasing another one of their “Carigami” papercraft models. In addition to folding wrapping paper for your friends and family’s gifts, you can now fold regular paper to make some of Infiniti’s vehicles.

You can see and print the paper model instruction manual in the gallery below (first seven pictures) or download the PDF from Infiniti’s website over here.

The new QX55 model is set to join the other 3 crossovers in Infiniti’s repertoire, which are the QX50, QX60, and the full-size QX80. To make the models, simply print them out, cut out the pieces (don’t forget to include the little tabs), and assemble by gluing together the tabs with matching numbers. If you need more help, each model does come with its own set of instructions. All 4 models are actually quite detailed, and do a good job of replicating their real-life counterparts.

The full-size QX55 will go on sale next spring, being almost identical mechanically to its QX50 sibling. Power for both is provided by a variable-compression turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that makes 268 hp (200 kW / 271 PS) and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm). Connected to that engine is a CVT that sends power to a front-biased all-wheel-drive system, which is standard in the United States and Canada. Fuel economy is rated at 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway in the QX50, but it’s safe to to assume the QX55 will achieve similar figures. Pricing for the QX55 has not been announced yet, but we expect it to be a little more than the AWD QX50 Luxe’s starting price of $43,500.

Vauxhall has collaborated with Wellhouse Leisure, a British specialist with more than 15 years of experience in building and converting camper vans, to launch a home-away-from-home variant of the Vivaro.

Based on the Elite range-topping trim level, which starts at £33,368.33 ($44,996) locally in the double cab body style, the Vivaro Elite Campervan will be available to order next year, priced from £46,000 ($62,029).

Some of the on-board amenities include a folding bed, 12V and 240V power units, a 2.2 kW heating system, 25-liter compressor fridge, water tank and gas-powered kitchen with two hobs, while the appliances are powered and recharged by the 100W solar panel and leisure battery.

The Vivaro Elite Campervan offers seating for four and the front seats can rotate. An optional fifth seat will also be available, alongside the elevated roof system with an upper bed, which will also cost extra.

Elsewhere, the vehicle features 17-inch wheels, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, semi-adaptive cruise control, Navi Pro infotainment system with built-in sat-nav and head-up display, among others.

Despite the conversion, the Vivaro Elite Campervan is still covered by the brand’s 3-year/100,000-mile (160,934-km) warranty.

Vauxhall will also launch an electric version of the camper van in 2021, which will be based on the Vivaro-e. The zero-emission variant uses a 136 PS (134 HP / 100 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque electric motor, which is powered by two battery options. The 50 kWh unit enables a range of 230 km (143 miles) on the WLTP cycle, and the larger 75 kWh gives it up to 330 km (205 miles) on a single charge in the stock model.
