日前 Volvo 執行長證實,將在今年 3 月推出全新電動車,而且會是品牌首款 SUV Coupe 車型,預期先以概念車形式登場,外媒《AutoExpress》指出,量產版本最快 9 月登場,有望命名為 XC40 Coupe 或 XC50。

目前關於車名有兩種說法,其一是直接取名為 XC40 Coupe,另一種則是使用 2018 年註冊的 XC50 車名,外媒指出,將與 XC40 Recharge 電動休旅共享大量技術,包括搭載 CMA 模組化平台以及動力系統等。

首款 Volvo 電動跑旅預期在前後軸各搭載一具電動馬達,分別能提供 201 匹馬力,配合上 78kWh 電池組和全時四驅系統,最大綜效馬力達到 402 匹與 66.6 公斤米最大扭力,續航力則預期來到 400 公里(WLTP 標準),甚至因為跑旅造型賦予更好空氣力學,續航力更強。

從外媒《Motor1》繪製的外觀預想圖來看,車頭和 XC40 Recharge 電動休旅幾乎相同,不過從 B 柱開始,車頂線條就出現明顯斜背,一路到車尾後延伸出小翹臀設計,與現行 Volvo 休旅家族方正方格有明顯不同,強調運動化氣息。

A rare McLaren Speedtail will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s in late January and represents a rare opportunity to buy the car for those that missed out on an allocation from the factory itself.

This Speedtail is the 36th example built and was officially ordered on 20 July 2020 before being delivered new to McLaren of Philadelphia in the fall of 2020. It has over $170,000 worth of bespoke and optional equipment.

The listing states that this Speedtail’s exterior is finished in a special shade known as MSO Heritage Atlantic Blue and includes painted pinstripes that are color-matched to the lightweight alloy wheels. The original owner also opted to have the front wheel covers finished in gloss carbon fiber while the engine cover and brake calipers are painted black and have the exhaust in a Stealth Titanium finish.

As if the striking exterior finish wasn’t enough, the cabin is also something to behold. Most notably, much of the interior is clad in vintage tan Aniline leather with contrast stitching. The satin carbon fiber steering wheel also has matching leather accents and sports billet titanium paddle shifters.

The Spedtail has only been driven 30 miles (48 km) and is being sold with a fitted suitcase for the front trunk and a serialized, lightweight gold-colored titanium toolset.

No pricing estimates have been made available, but last July a dealer was selling another Speedtail for $5 million. It will thus be interesting to see how much this one fetches at the auction.

There’s no doubt that the Mercedes-AMG A45 is going to beat its smaller brother, the A35, on a drag race any day of the week and twice on Sundays. The point here is to see if the range-topping A-Class can justify its significant price premium over the next best thing.

Mercedes will charge 8,200 euros more ($10,000 in current exchange rates) for an AMG A45 over the A35 in Germany (55,650 euros over the A35’s 47,432 euros) and that will arguably get you one of the quickest and most well-rounded hyper hatches in the market – and one of the most expensive, too.

The price gap is of course even bigger when you compare the AMG A35 to the A45 S, with the difference between them being 13,670 euros ($16,670). You could buy a small city car for that in Germany.

The more affordable Mercedes-AMG A35 comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 301 HP (306 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque, sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed DCT gearbox. 0-62 mph (100 km/h) comes in a very respectable 4.7 seconds while top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).

However, the changes between the A35 and the A45 S are not limited to a simple power increase and a slightly stiffer suspension setup. AMG has further reinforced the body shell of the A45 with extra plates, braces and diagonal struts, while the all-wheel-drive system features their trick Torque Control System that also has a Drift mode.

In addition, the Mercedes-AMG A45 S comes with a hand-built turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that puts out 415 HP (421 PS) and 368 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque and is paired to an eight-speed DCT gearbox. Mercedes claims that the AMG A45 S is capable of a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds, before topping out at an electronically limited 167 mph (270 km/h).
