Aston Martin攜手美國房地產公司Lightstone與英國建築師David Adjaye,在紐約金融區的摩天大樓William 130號打造5套豪華房屋,而Aston Martin也專為屋主設計特別版汽車。

建築師 Adjaye 負責 William 130 的設計,包含外部建築以及所有室內裝潢,這棟建築共有超過20,000平方英尺的設施,包含游泳池、健身房、電影院等和一個新的廣場公園,建築本身高800英尺(約243.84公尺),共有66層、242間住戶。他說:「能與Aston Martin合作令人興奮,我們創造了真正的獨特,讓William 130融合了建築和汽車界的獨一無二。」

而這5套Aston Martin Homes位於130 William的59層和60層的,每套房屋都有一個私人戶外涼廊並設有屏風,將陽台分為一系列用餐和休閒區;室內以Aston Martin獨特視覺元素為設計基底,並且設備齊全,配備義大利製造商 Formitalia 的手工紡織品和家具。

此外,每間房屋均有寬敞的起居室和餐廳,在餐廳旁邊是一個開放式廚房,配有黑色紋理橡木義大利櫥櫃、Gaggenau電器、義大利托斯卡納 Apuan 阿爾卑斯山的大理石檯面,可打造出酒吧座位。特別的是,屋主可以選擇將2臥室或3臥室中的一個房間定制為賽車模擬器、辦公室、圖書館空間或一間臥室。

至於要送給屋主的限量DBX也是由Aston Martin與David Adjaye聯手打造,在外觀上沒有明顯差異,不過車室則以和建築相呼應的大理石鑲嵌飾條、青銅等材質,呈現尊榮豪華感。

Aston Martin首席創意官 Marek Reichman 表示這是品牌在紐約市第一個結合房地產的項目,不過是品牌最開始的房地產合作是位於邁阿密的Aston Martin。他更補充,會將在邁阿密學到的知識,以及獨特的汽車設計技能與這些奢華、高貴的住宅作結合。

不過,想得到DBX並不是那麼容易的,因為這5套Aston Martin Homes最便宜就要398.5萬美元(約新台幣1.11億),甚至有的還破千萬美元,所以就算不靠運氣抽汽車,要得到Aston Martin真的還是要憑實力。

According to Italian deputy Economy Minister Antonio Misiani, Italy could take a stake in Stellantis as long as such an investment would be deemed beneficial by all parties.

Earlier this week, both Fiat Chrysler and PSA shareholders approved the $52 billion merger, thus creating the world’s fourth-largest carmaker – or sixth-largest if we go by 2020 figures. FCA and PSA declined to comment on Misiani’s quotes, reports Reuters.

“A possible presence of the Italian State in the capital of the new group, similar to that of the French government … cannot and must not be a taboo,” said Misiani in an interview with Italian newspaper La Repubblica.

Stellantis’ largest single investor is actually Exor (14.4% stake), the Agnelli family’s holding, which also happens to be FCA’s main shareholder. France meanwhile already owns a 6.2% stake in Stellantis through public bank BPI France. The merger is expected to be finalized on January 16.

Misiani added that Stellantis raises national interest from an employment and industrial point of view, adding that a possible investment could take place but only under certain conditions, “which do not exist at the moment.”

The Italian deputy minister also spoke about the industry’s need to look beyond incentive mechanisms already in place, and adopt a new medium to long term perspective with environmental benefits in mind.

“Technological challenges intersect with the ecological transition […]. This is precisely why important resources could come from the EU Recovery fund, which pays a lot of attention to decarbonisation.”

Buying a 2021 Ford Expedition is cheaper than ever before thanks to a new XL STX base-spec variant, priced from $49,995 (w/o destination charge). While it offers savings of $2,815 compared to the XLT model, it is missing quite a few amenities.

The most noticeable absence is that of the third-row, which is standard on all other Expedition models. You also don’t get the Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assist bundle as standard, nor do you have rear parking sensors or satellite radio.

The Expedition XL STX is also not available in extended-length Max form. You do however benefit from Magnetic metallic 18-inch alloys, a gloss-black five-bar grille, gloss black mirror caps, body-color lower body cladding and a body-colored fascia.

What’s interesting is that when you add the $1,695 destination charge for a total of $51,690, that puts the Expedition XL STX in the same ballpark as the Chevrolet Tahoe ($50,295 with destination charge). However, the latter does include third-row seats, even in base-spec.

Powering the entry-level Expedition is the same 375 HP 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 unit you get with the rest of the range. It also comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, while rear-wheel drive is standard (AWD is available for $3,050).

The Expedition is Ford’s only full-size SUV and it’s underpinned by the T3 platform – a modified version of the F-150’s half-ton architecture. Similar offerings, other than the Tahoe, include the likes of the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, Chevy Suburban, Nissan Armada, Cadillac Escalade, Infiniti QX80, Lincoln Navigator, Mercedes GLS and BMW X7. Some of these models of course wear premium badges and are considerably more expensive to purchase.
