採用Direct4驅動系統?《Lexus》將再推全新七人座休旅車

繼Lexus在去年註冊了TX商標後,北美經銷商諮詢委員會主席John Iacono最近接受媒體訪問時透露了更多關於這款車的消息,他們將推出一款全新三排式七人座休旅車,未來它將接替RX L的市場地位。除了即將發表的LQ旗艦、LX也將隨著雙生車Toyota Land Cruiser大改款後推出新車型,最近又多了一輛新的七人座休旅車的消息,Lexus搶攻高階七人座休旅車市場的意圖相當明顯。

John Iacono受訪時還提到,Lexus產品陣容正在激烈變化中,除了開發新車款,新技術的創新更是迫在眉睫。外界推測TX除了取代RX L之外,還有可能取代GX車系,GX是Toyota Land Cruiser Prado(J150)的雙生車,產品週期相當長,現行第二代車款(J150)從發表自今快十年了還沒大改款。

就當時Lexus註冊的「TX 350」與「TX 500h」兩商標中推估,TX 350的動力系統可能採用3.5升V6自然進氣引擎,而油電的TX 500h則可能與LC500h、LS500h共享Multi Stage Hybrid油電混合動力系統。

日本媒體報導指出,TX很有可能是首款採用Direct4驅動系統的車款。還記得2019年東京車展上發表了LF-30概念車外,還帶來了專為電動車打造採用e-axle電動軸的Direct4 Wheel Drive Force Control四輪控制技術(以下簡稱Direct4),這套系統除了能將前後輪扭力分配維持在50:50外,也可以將後輪扭力提升至80%,模擬出後驅車的操駕樂趣;原廠強調,e-axle電動軸可以將動力更即時的傳動到輪上,且穩定性更優異。

Just when you thought the Ferrari 812 Superfast couldn’t get any more desirable, Ferrari unveiled the 812 GTS back in 2019, a droptop variant of the grand tourer that, to our eyes, is the brand’s best-looking current production model.

Like its hardtop sibling, the 812 GTS is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 pumping out 789 hp at 8,500 rpm and 529 lb-ft (718 Nm) of torque at 7,000 rpm. As you’d imagine, the GTS weighs a tad more than the standard model, so to ensure it is just as accelerative as the Superfast, Ferrari has shortened the car’s gear ratios, as Doug DeMuro mentions in his review below.

In typical DeMuro style, he highlights the many interesting quirks and features of the 812 GTS. Among its most intriguing and subtle features are two small L-shaped flaps on the upper corners of the windshield that help keep turbulence and aerodynamic noise in check.

U.S. pricing for the Ferrari 812 GTS starts at roughly $390,000, but the car tested by DeMuro was much more expensive, as it had a price of $518,766, with roughly $130,000 in options. These include a front radar with active cruise control ($4,843), a rear radar ($2,767), aluminum brake calipers ($1,519), and a plethora of carbon fiber options that include carbon inner door handles ($4,219) and carbon fiber door panels for a cool $7,593.

 

Rimac has just opened a showroom in Shanghai, China prior to unveiling the production version of the C_Two all-electric hypercar later this year.

The Croatian automaker has partnered with Kingsway Group for its entry in the Chinese market. It already has a presence in the U.S., UK, Mexico, Germany, Spain, the UAE, Singapore, Japan, and Canada through various other partnerships.

“The C_Two is the next generation hypercar that unlocks the extreme performance of the electric drivetrain and will bring a new level of driving experience,” Rimac chief executive and founder Mate Rimac said in a statement. “It will be supported by a customer service experience to match – no matter where you are in the world. As such, we are very happy to welcome Kingsway Group into our family with their excellent reputation and access to the key markets for our customers in Hong Kong, Macau and China. This is another important step in the building of Rimac’s global network and brand.”

It has been three years since Rimac first unveiled the C_Two and, during that time, it has been refining the car and embarked on an exhaustive testing program to ensure it is perfect for when customer deliveries begin. In December 2020, the company started the preproduction phase, building six new preproduction examples.

When the C_Two launches, it should be the quickest accelerating production car on earth. Powering the hypercar are four electric motors that combine to deliver 1,888 hp and 1,696 lb-ft (2,300 Nm) of torque, enough to send it to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 1.85 seconds, 100 mph (160 km/h) in 4.3 seconds, and through to a 258 mph (412 km/h) top speed.
