Kia released the first official photos of the new K8 in mid-February but failed to show any photos of its interior. Fortunately, we can now get our first look at the car’s cabin thanks to images of a prototype recently spied in Korea.

Much like the exterior, the design of the new K8 is vastly different to the K7 / Cadenza that it replaces. The most obvious change made is the fitment of a massive touchscreen display that encompasses both the gauge cluster and the infotainment screen which sits on top of a redesigned dashboard.

Elsewhere, we can see a three-spoke steering wheel and a center console clad in wood trim with a raised section for the rotary gear selector dial, just like the Genesis G80 and GV80.

The exterior of the K8 is dramatic, to say the least. It sports a unique tiger nose front grille with a diamond lattice design. There are also thin headlights and diamond-shaped LED daytime running lights. Other key design elements include sharp LED taillights and a dynamic character line running down the side that Kia says takes inspiration from “yachts sailing across calm waters.”

Powertrain details for the K8 are unknown, but it will likely be available with Hyundai/Kia’s Smartstream engines. The new K8 is expected to be unveiled in full in the coming months.

With a starting price of £48,850 ($68,145) in the United Kingdom, the latest generation Jeep Wrangler is already a pricey cookie, yet the new Wrangler 1941 edition is even more expensive at £58,050 ($80,978).

Celebrating the brand’s 80th anniversary, it builds on the Wrangler Rubicon, which is offered from £51,350 ($71,632) locally. It is limited to 41 units and boasts several mechanical and visual enhancements meant to boost its off-road prowess.

The Jeep Performance Parts and Mopar accessories include a 2-inch (50-mm) suspension lift kit, wheel arch extensions, underbody protection, black door sill guards and splash guards at both ends. The limited-run SUV also features a black fuel filler door, 1941 decal on the bonnet, Rubicon and Wrangler Limited detailing, hardtop headliner and all-weather floor mats. Available paint colors include the Firecracker Red, Brilliant Black, Granite Crystal and Billet Silver.

“Each accessory has been designed and engineered specifically for the vehicle, and thoroughly tested”, Jeep notes. “These authentic Mopar accessories and Jeep performance parts guarantee both quality and satisfaction, increasing the capabilities of the legendary off-roader while also retaining the vehicle’s three year warranty.”

Already available in showrooms exclusively as a four-door, the new Wrangler 1941 is powered by the 2.2-liter Multijet four-cylinder diesel, which is mated to an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive with 4 Low mode. This engine pumps out 200 horsepower, has a WLTP rated average fuel consumption of 29.4 mpg (9.6 l/100 km / 24.5 mpg US) and emits 253 g/km of CO2.

James Glickenhaus has shared new images of the forthcoming 008 Baja Dakar Buggy.

The niche automaker first dreamed up the idea of the vehicle 12 months ago and at the time, referred to the vehicle as the ‘Mini Boot,’ named after its Baja Boot off-roader. The vehicle combines the looks of the SCG 004 race car with the off-road credentials of the Baja Boot and over the last year, its design has progressed.

The front now features a prominent bash guard and has the same basic wheel arches and headlights as the 004. It also has LED daytime running lights and four large rally lights in the hood. The glasshouse of the 004 has also been replaced and the 008 features a large roll cage and black mesh instead of normal side windows. It also sits quite high off the pavement thanks to the jacked-up suspension and massive off-road tires.

There are some similarities at the rear of the Glickenhaus 008 Baja Dakar Buggy to the Baja Boot. For example, the 008 has two large tailpipes poking out from the rear compartment and two spare wheels and tires stacked at the back. Tying the design together is a roof scoop.

One particularly interesting aspect of the off-roader is the fact that it is a three-seater with a central driving position and two seats located behind the driver’s seat.

It remains to be seen which engines the 008 Baja Dakar Buggy will use, but if it gets the same V8 options as the Baja Boot, it could be quite a beast.
