The 2022 Genesis GV70 is inching closer to hitting U.S. shores and the EPA has just released fuel consumption data for the flagship variant.

Figures from the EPA reveal that the GV70, which is rocking the company’s new 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 and all-wheel drive, returns 19 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined. This engine pumps out 375 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque and is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Sitting at the base of the GV70 range in the U.S. will be a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four with 300 hp and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) of torque. While the EPA has yet to release fuel consumption data for this engine, it will certainly be more frugal than the V6. Models equipped with the 2.5-liter engine will also be available in rear- and all-wheel drive configurations.

Select markets overseas will also be offered a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel four-cylinder with 207 hp and 325 lb-ft (441 Nm,) but this engine will not be sold stateside.

A diverse range of powertrains isn’t the only thing the GV70 has going for it. The exterior design of the SUV is quite striking and includes similar quad headlights and quad taillights to other new Genesis models. Customers can also opt for the Sport Package variant that adds a dark chrome grille, black exterior accents, and a more aggressive front bumper.

The interior of the GV70 also shares some similarities to other Genesis models, including the widescreen infotainment system, but it also has many unique features, including the climate control cluster and an intricate ambient lighting system.


Bollinger Motors has announced plans to offer rear-wheel drive and dually variants of their B2 Chass-E Cab and Chass-E.

Designed to appeal to commercial fleets, the new variants are significantly cheaper than their all-wheel drive counterparts.

In particular, the B2 Chass-E Cab starts at $70,000 with rear-wheel drive. Dually variants are rear-wheel drive only and add $2,500 to the sticker price. That’s pretty reasonable, especially when you consider the all-wheel drive model starts at $100,000.

The Chass-E, on the other hand, eschews a body and this allows customers to build a purpose-built vehicle around the electric platform. The rear-wheel drive variant starts at $55,000 while the dually version goes for $57,500. With all-wheel drive, the price climbs to $80,000.

The Chass-Es will have a 140 kWh battery pack and a range in excess of 200 miles (322 km). They’ll also be pretty hardcore as they boast a hydro-pneumatic suspension, 15 inches (381 mm) of ground clearance and a 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg) payload capacity.

Production is slated to begin next year and CEO Robert Bollinger said “There’s nothing on the market, or in development, like our all-electric Class 3 work trucks.” He went on to say the new variants will enable them to offer a “whole range of options to commercial fleets looking to electrify,” while adding “our trucks kick ass and now they kick ass three ways!”

In other news, Bollinger revealed they’re looking to electrify existing vehicles with “suspended battery packs” that have capacities of 67 and 134 kWh. They’d be mounted to the frames of higher class trucks (Class 4+) and be joined by a suspended HV component pack as well as an electric rear axle. This is a neat idea as it would enable existing fleets to go electric.

自從2015年開始,車界不斷地傳出關於即將推出的《Apple Car》的消息,但是直到現在,都還沒能看到任何關於外觀設計的消息。近日,土耳其專業汽車設計師同時也是外媒《Motor1.com》的讀者Emre Husmen根據各種Apple Car釋出的消息,透過Behance頁面描繪了他心中想像的蘋果汽車—Apple iV。

《Apple iV Concept》是一台擁有1 + 2 + 2配置的純電車款,長約5米。駕駛前方擁有一面超大玻璃和薄邊框,因此相較其他車款,視野更加開闊,同時,車上標配先進的雷達和可以自己運行的鏡頭系統,將具備多項蘋果汽車所申請的專利功能。

就外型來說,Apple iV Concept擁有汽車設計中的「黃金比例」,以及超大的26吋車輪。不過,輪子的設計應該會調整,不然可能會引起部分人士的密集恐懼症。值得一提的是,這款車具備兩種充電方式,第一種是透過引擎蓋上的標準充電端口進行充電,而另一種則是透過可在家里安裝的充電器進行無線充電,如同為Apple Watch充電一樣。而且就像iOS系統一樣,Apple Car也需要不斷被更新。

對於讀者Emre Husmen的敘述,外媒《Motor1.com》認為這個想法相當新穎且可行,不過同時也提醒,這只是一個虛構的概念到目前為止,車界還沒有關於真正Apple Car的任何具體訊息,只希望今年蘋果汽車製造商可以釋出更多消息。
