Morgan is about to pull the plug on the 3 Wheeler, and to celebrate the occasion, they are launching a new limited edition called the P101.

The new 3 Wheeler P101 will be limited to just 33 examples, and all of them are already allocated to Morgan dealerships. Production of the special edition is set to begin immediately alongside the regular ‘bespoke’ 3 Wheeler models during 2021, which will be the final year of the lightweight sports car as the type approval of its S&S V-twin engine is scheduled to expire.

P101 stands for Project 101, which was the internal codename for the revived 3 Wheeler when Morgan started its development more than a decade ago. The current 3 Wheeler, which was originally introduced in 2011, became one of the best-selling models in the long history of the brand, with more than 2,500 examples made since production started.

The final special edition of the Morgan 3 Wheeler features a translucent golden tonneau cover over the passenger seat, made out of composite resin for a more streamlined appearance. This is matched with the Aero-disc wheels, which are painted to match the main body color, while at the front there’s a set of low-slung 9-inch Hella spot lamps.

The whole asymmetric theme continues with the alternated black and white ceramic-coated left and right straight-cut exhausts. Other features include a fly screen, extra louvers, exposed rivet details and unique P101 markings.

The special 3 Wheeler is available in Deep Black or Satin White Silver, with Morgan offering the choice between four different decal packs: The Belly Tank, The Dazzleship, The Aviator, and The Race Car.

Power still comes from a 2.0-liter V2 engine making 82 HP and paired to a manual transmission from a Mazda MX-5, which is good enough for the 3 Wheeler to do the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 6 seconds flat.

“The significance of the original Three Wheeler is undoubted, however the introduction of the ‘current’ 3 Wheeler in 2011 proved to Morgan, and the world, that fun cars still have a place and that the ‘why not’ attitude is sometimes best,” said Steve Morris, Chairman & CEO, Morgan Motor Company.

“The P101 celebrates the raw and stripped back nature of the 3 Wheeler, and provides us with the perfect opportunity to draw an incredible chapter of Morgan’s history to a close,” Morris added. “Once the 33 examples have been created, the opportunity for an exciting new chapter for three-wheeled Morgan vehicles begins.”

Prices for the new 3 Wheeler P101 start from £45,000 ($59,570 in current exchange rates), plus local market taxes and on-the-road costs.

YouTuber WhistlinDiesel has done some pretty wild stunts in the past, but his latest is crazier than any other before it.

The YouTuber is the proud owner of an extensively modified Chevrolet Silverado 2500 he has dubbed the Monstermax. When driven on the street, it sits on four massive monster truck tires, but eager to make it even crazier, the content creator has fitted four extra wheels, giving the massive truck the buoyancy it needs to float.

To put the vehicle to the test, it was transported by trailer from Indiana down to Florida, where the road tires were replaced with the eight monster truck tires on the boat ramp. It then drove directly into the Gulf of Mexico and, surprisingly, had enough grunt to move through the water under its own power, albeit at very low speeds.

However, as the tide started to increase, the Silverado had to be hooked onto a boat acting as a tow vehicle to ensure it could fight the current and continue to move forward. The sight of a pickup truck wading its way through the Gulf of Mexico caught the attention of the authorities, who deployed multiple boats from the U.S. Coast Guard to make sure everything was okay.

The wild stunt proved to be a complete success and while the YouTuber was hit with a $70 fine for not having the pickup properly registered as an aquatic vehicle, the revenue generated by the video itself has already far exceeded the price of that fine.

Spy photographers have snapped the facelifted Jeep Compass on numerous occasions and now the company has released the first teaser images ahead of its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

Looking instantly recognizable, the facelifted model has a revised grille and restyled headlights with daytime running lights now located up top.

Bigger changes occur below as the 2022 Compass adopts a redesigned front bumper with a larger central intake. We can also see new fog lights and a sportier lower opening.

While the teaser images don’t show the rear end, undisguised pictures surfaced earlier this month. However, there isn’t much to see as there doesn’t appear to be any changes.

The same can’t be said about the interior as the facelifted Compass will adopt an all-new infotainment system with a metallic frame. Beneath the free-standing display is new switchgear and restyled air vents which feature a landscape orientation. The teasers also reveal a new dashboard with metallic accents and upholstered surfaces.

Little else is known about the model at this point, but the Chinese-spec Compass should be virtually identical to the North American variant. However, we won’t know for sure until the US-spec model is introduced later this year or in early 2021.

Regardless, engine options could carryover and include a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that produces 180 hp (134 kW / 182 PS) and 175 lb-ft (237 Nm) of torque. Europeans, on the other hand, can expect an assortment of options including a plug-in hybrid with a 11.4 kWh battery pack which enables it to travel approximately 31 miles (50 km) on electricity alone.
