Volkswagen has opened the order books for the all-new Golf Alltrack and Golf Estate in Great Britain.

The jacked-up station wagon is available in a single trim level, from £35,560 ($47,518), or £3,365 ($4,497) more than the Tiguan Allspace, while the regular Estate starts at £24,575 ($32,839), £1,275 ($1,704) more than the five-door hatchback.

Powering the Golf Alltrack is a 200 PS (197 HP / 147 kW) 2.0-liter TDI turbodiesel four that’s mated to a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission and VW’s 4Motion all-wheel drive. The 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration takes 7.1 seconds and the car averages 49.6 mpg UK (5.7 l/100 km / 41.3 mpg US) in the WLTP cycle and emits between 148 and 151 g/km of CO2.

In addition to the higher ground clearance and plastic cladding on the lower parts of the body, the Golf Alltrack features a honeycomb design for the fog lamp clusters, illuminated front grille, silver roof rails and 17-inch ‘Ronda’ alloy wheels. It also gets a three-zone climate control, Lane Change Assist, Emergency Assist, Side Assist and Travel Assist as standard.

The Golf Estate is available with three petrol engines: a 110 PS (108 HP / 81 kW) 1.0-liter TSI, a 130 PS (128 HP / 96 kW) 1.5-liter TSI and a 150 PS (148 HP / 110 kW) 1.5-liter TSI, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. These units are also available with a mild-hybrid system and a 7-speed DSG transmission. Moreover, customers can also choose between two diesels, a 2.0-litre 115 PS (113 HP / 84 kW) TDI and a 2.0-litre 150 PS (148 HP / 110 kW) TDI.

The lineup comprises of three trim levels, named Life, Style and R-Line, with the entry-level getting LED lights at both ends, 16-inch alloy wheels, interior ambient lighting, a 10-inch infotainment system, digital radio, 10.25-inch digital dials and Lane Assist, Front Assist, Dynamic Road Sign Display and Adaptive Cruise Control.

The Style adds 17-inch alloy wheels, uprated headlights, ambient lighting with more colors, three-zone climate control, Lane Change Assist, Side Assist and Traffic Jam Assist. Finally, the R-Line brings sportier bumpers, tinted rear windows, 17-inch wheels with different pattern, sports suspension, progressive steering, three-spoke heated steering wheel wrapped in leather and Driving Profile Selection.

The Bugatti Chiron is an automotive marvel that combines extreme performance with a luxurious cockpit, so most of us wouldn’t dare change anything – you know, just in case we ever won the lottery.

However, Premier Edition begs to differ, so they have launched new wheels for the Molsheim hypercar.

Made in their U.S. factory in collaboration with 1221 Wheels, they measure 11×20 inches at the front and 14×21 inches at the rear, the exact same dimension as the stock ones, and can be ordered in several finishes, including silver and black.

The rims provide a weight saving of up to 20 percent, according to Premier Edition, and are still shod in the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 OEM tires. They were custom-made for the Alsatian hypercar and can withstand the dizzying speeds the Chiron is capable of.

Now, everyone knows that all things related to the Bugatti brand are extremely expensive, and we expect no different for these wheels. Unfortunately, Premier Edition hasn’t announced any pricing details, so Chiron owners who are interested will have to reach out to them to find out how much they cost.

Meanwhile, last year we stumbled upon a used set of wheels and tires for the Veyron listed for $100,000. That’s crazy money, yet it’s still about $50,000 less than buying a new set from Bugatti…

An electric SUV that is not afraid of getting dirty? That would be the Mercedes-Benz EQC 4×4², a more hairy-chested take on the regular model that just celebrated its official debut on film in a promo shared by the company online.

Unlike the EQC 400 on which it is based, it will unfortunately remain just a study, albeit one that sports a number of differences such as an elevated ground clearance, portal axles and numerous other upgrades.

Our Review: Mercedes EQC 400 Is A Strong Presence In The EV Crossover Segment

The EQC 4×4² is almost 6 cm (2.4 in) taller than the standard G-Wagen, has 31.8 approach and 33 departure angles, a 24.2 brakeover angle and 40 cm (15.7 in) fording depth. It is also 20 cm (8 in) wider due to the addition of the fender extensions and rides on 20 inch wheels wrapped in 285/50 tires.

Built for venturing off the beaten path by the same team that gave us the E 400 All-Terrain 4×4² concept, it still features all the bells and whistles of the standard EQC, including the dual-screen layout which supports over-the-air updates inside.

Mercedes-Benz chose to leave the electric powertrain all alone. As a result, the EQC 4×4² retains the same dual-motor setup as the production EQC 400, which generates a total output of 408 horsepower and 562 pound-feet (762 Nm) of torque. The electric motors are juiced up by an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery, which gives the stock EQC 400 an EPA-estimated range of 220 miles (354 km) on a single charge.
