FCA’s decision to stuff the Hellcat engine under the bonnet of so many and different models is pretty awesome. Sure, no one needs a truck with 700 HP but yet, here we are, so we might as well enjoy the moment.

The new Ram 1500 TRX is arguably one of the craziest pickup trucks to ever hit the market, featuring the Hellcat 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that puts out 702 HP and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque.

That makes the new 1500 TRX capable of sprinting to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and to 100 mph (160 km/h) in 10.5 seconds. The quarter-mile is dealt with in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph (174 km/h), while the top speed is 118 mph (190 km/h).

Doug DeMuro goes through all the details of Ram’s super-truck and he can’t stop smiling at its absurdity.

FCA loves leaving easter eggs on its models, and on the 1500 TRX there are plenty poking fun at the Ford F-150 Raptor, reminding you that the T-Rex is the true king of performance trucks.

Other differences compared to lesser 1500 versions include a wider body by 8 inches in order to accommodate the huge 35-inch tires that are mounted on beadlock wheels. Upfront there’s a new independent suspension and at the rear, you’ll find a Dana 60 solid axle with a 3.55 ratio with full-floating hubs and an axle-hop damper.

The 2.5-inch adaptive Bilstein shocks all around are designed exclusively for the 1500 TRX and the wheel travel is greater than 13 inches on all four corners, over 40 percent more than the rest of the 1500 models.

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and BMW M8 Coupe Competition are about the same size, have similar nought to 60 times and can run the quarter-mile in around 11 seconds, but which one’s actually quicker off the line?

In theory, that would be the M8, because, unlike its challenger, it is all-wheel drive. Officially, the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint takes 3.0 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than the most powerful street-legal Ford ever made, and the M8 will keep pushing up to 190 mph (306 km/h) with the optional M Driver’s Pack, while the Mustang has a maximum speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).

In terms of power, the GT500 holds the upper ground, with 760 HP and 625 lb-ft (847 Nm) of torque produced by its supercharged 5.2-liter V8, which drives the rear wheels through a Tremec 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The top-spec M8 Coupe has 617 HP and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) and uses an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission and an M-tuned xDrive all-wheel drive system with a rear-wheel drive mode.

Then there’s the price. While the Shelby GT500 has an MSRP of $72,900, the M8 Competition Coupe starts at $146,000. That’s a $73,100 difference, or double the money, not counting any options, which would otherwise get you a brand new, 350 HP Porsche 718 Cayman S. So, does the Bimmer justify its huge premium over the Mustang in terms of what it can do in a straight line acceleration?

Residing in a rural property in Edmonton, Canada sits what could be the world’s most impressive collection of Fast and Furious-based replica cars.

The man featured in this intriguing video from Roads Untraveled is named Jorge and is the proud owner of 24 vehicles that resemble some of the most famous film cars from the Fast and Furious franchise.

One of the finest vehicles in Jorge’s collection is a Bayside Blue Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R designed to perfectly replicate the car driven by Paul Walker in Fast & Furious 4. He also owns a silver and blue Skyline GT-R just like the one from 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Other cars in the collection include Paul Walker’s orange Supra from the first film, the white VW Jetta driven by Jesse in the first film, and a Mazda RX-7 Veilside Fortune driven by Han in Tokyo Drift. During this clip, Jorge reveals that he has purchased some of the replicas as they were; the rest, he modified and built in his shop to mimic the film cars. Moreover, many of the cars he has purchased were imported directly from Japan.

One of the most recent additions to the collection is the 2020 Toyota Supra that’s set to star in the (delayed) ninth installment in the franchise.

As impressive as his collection already is, Jorge is in the process of building seven or eight additional replicas, including the bright pink Honda S2000 driven by Suki in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
