Hot on the heels of Maserati launching its Fuoriserie program a couple of months ago, designers from the Italian car manufacturer have released renderings of a rather unusual MC20.

This MC20 has been designed as a concept with a focus on snow-driving. To prepare the mid-engined supercar for such conditions, a handful of modifications appear to have been made.

Most notably, the car has been finished in a bright shade of orange that would help it stand out in the snow, as opposed to blending in with the initial shade of white used in the launch car. Additionally, Maserati’s designers have jacked up the ride height and fitted a set of winter tires with studs to ensure the rear-wheel drive car can actually put its power to the ground.

Rounding out the modifications is a roof rack that can hold a pair of skis. The interior has also been trimmed in white leather with a host of orange accents, including on the door panels, center console and the outer edges of the seats.

We doubt Maserati has any plans of offering snow-focused parts for the MC20 through its FuoriSerie customization program, but it will probably offer a selection of personalization options for its customers.

The MC20 is powered by a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 producing 621 hp and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission sending power to the rear wheels.

We all know that the C8 Corvette Stingray is a special car, but what’s it like to drive alongside its predecessor, the C7?

If you’ve ever had the pleasure to drive a C7-generation Corvette, regardless of the variant, you’ll agree that it is a great sports car. Its 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 is an absolute joy and can be paired with a six-speed manual transmission to maximize driving thrills.

The C7 Corvette also loves corners, thanks in no small part to the fact that it has a 50:50 weight distribution. However, the reviewers in this video state that the C7 is starting to show and feel its age, particularly when you take a look inside.

By comparison, the C8 Corvette Stingray looks much more modern, even though one of the reviewers isn’t a big fan of its rear end, saying it looks too much like a Camaro. Looks aside, there’s no doubt that Chevrolet has made the ‘Vette feel much more premium than its predecessor thanks to higher-end materials found throughout the cabin. It’s also loaded with lots of new technologies, including a digital rear view mirror.

What about the driving experience then? Well, it appears as though the C8 Corvette thrives in this department as well. The new mid-engined layout means it handles in a different manner to the C7, but it’s apparently even better to thread through the corners and leaves the driver wanting more.

Make no mistake – the C7 Corvette is a great sports car, especially given how cheap it can be found on the used car market. However, the C8 Corvette is much, much better.
